I’ve been naked in front of you, Yet fully clothed. Baring it all, But my breasts weren’t exposed. To further elaborate, I’m describing how I have shared my soul.
Into my heart I’ve allowed you to come. Erasing my inhibitions With the thought that you could be the one.

Dia Numero Dos en Honduras
Let me start by saying…HOLY SHIT. I don’t think I’ve ever worked so hard in my life. I don’t know how these guys hand-mix cement numerous times/day without dying. I totally almost did. We worked under direct sunlight all day. I put sun block on…and am stiiiiiiill a lobster. I was covered in cement. Covered.
Last night, I didn’t sleep well. The mattress...
Day 1 in Honduras, Trip 2
Where to start? Well, my adventure has started again! This time in Honduras we are staying in the Volunteer’s Lodges that they built in Villa Soleada. At first, I was a little worried since there isn’t AC (yes, I’m spoiled) among other things. I am so happy. I love Honduras so much. I love the children here so much. Actually, what am I saying? I love ALL the people here. I really look up to Shin...

The End of Another Sweet Adventure
I haven’t written a word in this damn thing yet and I’m already crying.
I was so excited that I was coming home, and I mean, I still am, but now it has kicked in that I’m leaving this beautiful country, and the beautiful new friends..family that I have made. I was talking to our security guard yesterday and he asked when we were leaving and I told him Saturday morning and his...

Paradise and People's Bullshit...
So. Today has been interesting.
Last night, a few of us did laundry until like 330 in the morning since we couldn’t do it all day yesterday because of no water. Well, then we wake up at 530, to get ready and be at the bus station by 7. Well, getting 10 people anywhere is difficult enough, but getting 10 very opinionated, dominant personality people somewhere on time is near impossible. We...
Life.
Ya know… life is cruel. Yes, you can say, oh life is beautiful, insane, amazing, a gift…and yes, sometimes it is all of those things…but it is also very very cruel. Why must we endure pain? Heartache? Suffering? (please don’t respond with something religious because I will get angry very quickly.) And if you don’t like that i said that…then stop reading....
A Fresh Mind :)
Well, where do I begin?
This whole self-discovery mission is going pretty well. I think. The wheels are beginning to turn in my head about realizing who i am. It is a lot more complex and difficult than I imagined. I thought I had figured myself out once already, but apparently I hadn’t, or hadn’t fully.
I’m at the stage right now where I am figuring out what upsets me, and how...
The Road to Happiness
Let me begin by saying that it there have been some of the most beautiful days here in Costa Rica. It was partly sunny and windy all day all week. I love that weather.
Anyway…
So I found out two days ago that my cousin passed away. I don’t understand. This might sound selfish and i don’t mean it to, but how is it that in my lifetime, i’ve experienced very few deaths so...
Pura Vida! What an interesting life in Costa Rica
DISCLAIMER: Mother, do not freak while reading this. I am happy and fine. If I get a message from you, worried about me, i will block you from reading this posts and my fb. :) love you!
Business first: For Christmas, I want a new Ipod Touch. Mine officially will not charge. Looks like my next few bus rides, and plane rides are going to be soooo boring. :(
So now onto my Costa Rican...
So Remember How I Said San Jose Was Dangerous?
This has not been a good week.
Let’s start at the beginning…
Went to the bank with ALex to get some money out for this weekend. The banks here are intense. They only let so many people inside at once. They lock the door. They pat you down. It is quite odd, safe, but odd.
I felt really dizzy earlier. I contemplated not going to class, but i’m glad I did. Today was another day...
Reality
Yesterday was an okay day, i suppose. I slept all day. I do mean all day. I didn’t go to class because I was still pretty upset about Jamie. My mom messaged me though while she was in Lexington and told me about talking to Jamie’s mom. I am so lucky to have a person like my mother…well…as my mother. She would give me the world if she could. She went to the funeral for me...
Not too good of a Tuesday
I have nothing much to write about yesterday. I woke up sad because I was dealing with some stuff from home, and then got hit on by a bunch of guys and was teased by my roommate with her comparing me to “How Stella Got Her Groove Back”…and then a few friends and I played Egyptian Rat Screw…which I suck at because apparently I have the reflexes of a sloth. The game got quite...
A Pura Vida weekend in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica...
Hola!
It is Sunday evening and I’m back in San Jose. This blog is going to be pretty long, so bare with me.
First of all, I didn’t realize how much I dislike San Jose until I left it for the weekend. San Jose is a dirty, dangerous city, with very few extra-curricular activities. Anyway. So Friday morning, some of the roomies and I went to downtown San Jose to buy a few needed items...
Funny Happenings in Costa Rica
Well yesterday I sat out on the balcony in the morning for a good 2 1/2 hours…just like i’m doing now. No class til’ 3, perfecto. Some of the roomies and I went to the university to eat lunch to use up our meal tickets. The hamburger was pretty delicious. Yesterday was a calm day. I was tired allll damn day though. It didn’t rain, but it was cloudy. So I guess that is...

Pura Vida!
Ya know…life in Costa Rica is difficult. I mean, every morning, I have to wake up, and have breakfast already made for me. I mean hot chocolate chip pancakes, with warmed maple syrup, fresh cut fruit, bacon, and fresh-squeezed orange or pineapple juice. This isn’t the fresh-squeezed and then put in a carton and then shipped…this is the women come at 5:30 in the morning and...
My First Monday in Costa Rica
This trip is definitely turning into quite the experience already.
Yesterday morning, Monday, was our Veritas University orientation. We have these ladies that make us breakfast which is always delicious; especially the fresh fruit. Veritas is only a block away from our house, all up hill of course. Veritas is so awesome. It has a very modern architectural design. I plan to take pictures...
too tired
I wish I wasn’t so tired, because I have some funny stories…i will update tomorrow. Sorry guys! :/
Day Number Two of This Costa Rican Adventure
I actually don’t have much to write about today…
My body isn’t used to it being two hours behind here. Nor am I used to the sun setting at 6 everyday, especially since in my mind it is summer and the sun doesn’t set till like 9 at home. Anyway. Woke up at 6 because of the sun…We had an orientation and walking tour around San Jose. Our guide was so sweet. He works for...
1st day of my Costa Rican Adventure
There I was, in the Miami airport. I’m already a bit nervous about this flight and this trip in general. I cried in the Cinci airport waiting for my plane…sobbed all over the stuffed animal I brought…i was just nervous, and knew I would miss my friends and family. Mother, I did not tell you this in the beginning bcause i knew you would freak out! But, I’m fine now, I’m...
girlwithagoldenheart asked: What is it like leaving your Mom and Dad and pets for 6 weeks?
Ready for this adventure...
Well tomorrow is the day. I will finally after months of waiting, be leaving to Costa Rica. I will spend 5 weeks taking a Human Rights in Latin America course at Veritas University in San Jose, and then be flying to Honduras for a week to volunteer with SHH! :) I can’t wait to get back to Honduras! I miss the people there so much…i just can’t believe this is it. I’m pretty...

Honduras...a place for..love?
So. Today was quiiiiiiite interesting.
This morning when we woke up aruond 6:30, I wrote a letter to the guy I have a large crush on, Luis. It basically told him how handsome he was and I’m happy I met him and gave him my e-mail, bla bla bla.
My little men that I love dearly showed up, thanks to Shin, and it was a good morning. We took a bunch of pictures together. :) And Juan gave me his...

HOLAAAA!
This will either be really long because I’m combining two days entries into one, or short because once again, i’m exhausted.
Anyway! Yesterday was a good day! We went to Villa again and worked very hard! I planted bamboo trees while getting hit on the whole time. I was also informed that the place that we were planting the trees was the perfect place where the poisonous...

My Salsa is Spicy...
Both the food and the dance. haha. So every day here in Honduras gets so much better!!!! I’m so in love with this country!! So today… Today we wake up, go eat the homemade, HUGE breakfast that the hotel makes for us and then we oil ourselves with sunblock and bug spray until we look like grease monkeys…hey, we still look good. Today, I sported a gray tanktop and jean shorts...
Bonita, Bonita, Bonita...
Hola!!!!!!
I have so much to talk about…i’m so overwhelmed with everything I want to say!
Two unfortunate things happened today: I accidentally deleted ALL of my pictures. 900+…I was quite bitter for a few hours. But it’s okay because my little friends Bessie and David took my camera and took another 300 to make up for it haha. But the second unfortunate event was that I...
First day in Honduras!
I don’t even know where to start…
Oh, yes I do. I am quitting school and moving to San Pedro Sula and volunteering for the rest of my life…okay, maybe not, but i’m tempted.
I am already having a blast. I guess I will begin with talking about my flight and such to Honduras…
So, my flight left cincinnati airport at 7:10 am to Miami. This was a great flight, nothing...
Honduras
Honduras. Tomorrow. Oh my god.
I’m so scared. But so excited! I will not miss Kentucky…but i will miss some of my friends and my family! Wish me luck!
